huh interesting. speaking from experience, i know that theres a lot of behind the scenes borrowing with a lot of bengali families with the women. afaik their hasn’t been much drama between the women about money getting paid back. i don’t know about the men. my father was particularly bad and i know some of his business (bengali) partners were bad with money and paying other back, but it could’ve been his personal circle.
funnily(?) enough my brother was surprised by the lack of issues on getting paid back for the money hes been lending out. he kinda got harassed into it by my mom and me and him thought that it was going to go wrong, but he’s done it a handful of times so far and no real issues.
