Imma write about the collapsed paragraph below:

> [@Judging and Fixing Your Own Errors](https://discuss.criticalfallibilism.com/t/judging-and-fixing-your-own-errors/492/1):

> > >
> > > Typical thinking about goals is like “My goal is to get a good dinner.” That is a single, broad goal that doesn’t define what counts as success or failure very well. Then people try to manage their dinner-acquiring project while only considering that one goal.

Second sentence:

> [@Judging and Fixing Your Own Errors](https://discuss.criticalfallibilism.com/t/judging-and-fixing-your-own-errors/492/1):
>
> That is a single, broad goal that doesn’t define what counts as success or failure very well.

“That” is 'get a good dinner." I wonder if that goal being singular is a problem. I think it might be cuz the fact that the goal wording is using one adjective to describe the dinner. That’s ambiguous like “good” could mean a lot of things that are good. Good flavor, good price, good for health, etc.

It also seems that the goal being broad can be a problem. How? Idk What does it mean for the goal to be broad? I think broad might mean this merriam webster def:

> widely applicable or applied **:** [general](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/general)

I think the part that is broad is the “dinner” part. That could apply to anything like even breakfast food in a diner. Idk for sure if that’s the broad part.
