y’all are too much like this

would make sense to read this, discuss it, compare it to CF, etc., for someone who was actually doing much to study CF. but i don’t really recommend for people who have not e.g. watched my videos and engaged with my CF math article (IIRC all the replies to that were about specific local parts, but no one engaged with the main points and tried to actually learn it).

love these electric hand warmers. haven’t recharged my phone yet. got cheaper from Costco. good for winter walks. and basically i want one room temperature for everything but my hands, but then my hands get cold while typing sometimes. cold typing hands can’t be fixed with gloves or blanket while typing. turning up heat for a whole room or using a space heater, when you only want to heat your hands, is a bad solution. i’m liking this more, for most use cases, than the single use Hot Hands https://hothands.com

They’re so defensive which reveals their fragile egos. They’re bad at social dynamics. They could just ignore it or agree and amplify. Don’t they know you’re supposed to act unbothered?

A learning process.

One of the themes is that Musk is a social climber who plays office politics. When he’s involved with a company, he gets CEOs and other leaders kicked out so he or his allies can take over.

Also when Musk first for $22 million he spent $1 million on a sports car, didn’t get insurance, crashed it showing off for Peter Thiel, and was lucky neither of them were severely injured:

“It was a miracle neither of us were hurt,” Thiel told the New York Times in 2017. “I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, which is not advisable. Elon’s first comment was, ‘Wow, Peter, that was really intense.’ And then it was: ‘You know, I had read all these stories about people who made money and bought sports cars and crashed them. But I knew it would never happen to me, so I didn’t get any insurance.’ And then we hitchhiked the rest of the way to the meeting.”

Lol I didn’t know he didn’t actually found some stuff. And jfc at that P/E ratio for Tesla.

Is this another way of saying “when he made his first $22 million”

Examples of building on simpler ideas (like pawn endgames in chess) to understand more complex ideas (like rook and pawn endgames):

Both teachers make explicit comments about how understanding simpler concepts and positions helps you understand and solve more complicated positions.
