How I Write a Lot

I think if you write more than edit then you’ll think of more ways to think about something. Like, if you’re reading something about bottleknecks and you write a bunch of stuff on it, then you’ll have come up with more ways about how to think about the topic. Even though you may be wrong as a beginner, you can still think of ideas about the thing you’re studying. I think by the time you edit one reply, you can write three replies probably about the topic.

I see in the second sentence of the quote it says that it’s better to have an approach that involves more writing and less editing. That means there is some editing at least.

I think if you write more, you’ll be successful more. It’s not like you’re learning nothing when you write. If you write and look for things you can improve on then you can write better later. There’s an upside to writing a lot that’s hard to see. It’s related to learning more.

I think it as well that people don’t learn much while editing or learning. I’m thinking they either don’t have a good way to learn stuff or they don’t see how they can learn stuff well while writing. Like, they have a good way to learn stuff while doing their favorite hobby but maybe they don’t apply that to writing.

I think for me it’s a little hard to learn as I write, cuz it’s hard to tell if im making errors or not about the topic. I feel tho that I may have something that works and if I use that more then I can learn something more effectively.

If editing and writing are slow and tedious for people then I see why they don’t learn much. If they had less trouble and it was faster for them then they would learn more.

I don’t get how editing is less creative. I think you don’t have to brainstorm so many things maybe to figure it out. Editing to me is kind of like looking at a text book for the answers. If I know how people speak English properly then I can have an easier time fixing something.
