I’ll be doing the same type of analysis that I did with [Introduction to Critical Fallibilism - #2 by ActiveMind](https://discuss.criticalfallibilism.com/t/introduction-to-critical-fallibilism/1920/2). I read the article the day it came out.

## Introduction

- _fallibilist_
  - knowledge is _tentative_
    - we can always improve our knowledge

  - _no guarantee_ against errors
    - perfection impossible
    - there can always be errors in our ideas

  - mistakes are common
  - we can make _progress_ despite _never reaching perfection_
    - this implies infinite room for improvement

- refutes _induction_ and _justificationism_
  - there have long been _known problems_
    - more effort has gone into trying to fix them to make original theories work instead of thinking of alternatives

  - _CR_ says they can’t work (logically, I think)
  - _CR’s_ alternative is _evolutionary epistemology_
    - we make progress and learn (improve knowledge) by _error correction_
      - brainstorming and criticism
      - conjectures and refutations
      - trial and error
      - critical discussion
