Continuing the discussion from Checking Citations from David Thorstad [CF Article]:
I analyzed cite 1 earlier in this thread and my analysis and Elliot’s agree.
I checked out cite 2 before reading Elliot’s analysis but did not see anything wrong. I think the year of publication error and the double quotes error would have been the sort of thing I could have caught if I had been following a checklist. They are pretty basic errors.
I also checked out cite 3 earlier and didn’t see anything wrong. I could have found the “lead to all sorts” issue easily enough.
I agree with Elliot’s advice regarding taking additional steps to ensure correct citation.
