Continuing the discussion from Elliot Temple and Corentin Biteau Discussion:

@CorentinBiteau, would you agree with the following argument (which I’ve attempted to base off the quoted paragraph)?

  1. Humans share a lot of evolutionary history with animals.
  2. If two groups share a lot of evolutionary history, then it is a reasonable default expectation that the two groups will share the same abilities.
  3. Humans have the ability to experience emotions.
  4. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that animals have the ability to experience emotions.
