Project attempt #1:

Here’s a quote im gonna work on from [How I Write a Lot](https://discuss.criticalfallibilism.com/t/how-i-write-a-lot/2146) :

> Im gonna look up percentiles rq…Ok, I just looked up a rq gemini description of what a percentile is. So if you have a 50th percentile work from a few years ago then that’s better than 50 percent of your work in that area but also worse than 50 percent of work.

> Ok, now I see I missed the phrase “from now” meaning in the future. So hoepfully your 50 percentile stuff in the future is better than your 90 percentile work from today

When I say this part:

Is there a better word than “like” here? I’m thinking i could find a better word but I think the problem is my use of “this” before “quote.” I didnt want to be repetitive and use “this” again after “like”. I ended up leaving the word “like” by itself to describe the rest of the words in the sentence. I think I could get better at using more definite determiners like “the.” I think the audience probably wouldve understood what quote I was referring to.

I think another thing that could help is when I rephrase a quote in my own words, I could use single quotes(?) or use a colon to introduce it.

Some concepts Im thinking could use work are paraphrasing, colons, indefinite/definite articles, words like “this,” and words like “like.”
