Having your skill level lag behind your prerequisites is efficient and reduces your error rate.

Having the CF skill “lag” seems to be what makes it efficient and reduces your error rate. I think lagging means that your CF skill is a significant amount of points away from your prerequisite skill. If your CF skill was really close to your prerequisite skill then I don’t think it’s lagging anymore. If you leave it like that and try to learn the skill, you’ll be using a lot of resources and make way more errors
