I don’t know why I don’t know that. I think Im making mistakes somewhere. I can talk about errors sometimes confidently and other times I don’t know… Honestly, I don’t even think about errors that confidently cuz sometimes it takes me longer to judge using the word well.
Imma write about the following paragraph:
The second sentence:
“Often” sounds like a good amount. How much is that? Idk exactly but I saw that Merriam Webster said something that happens frequently:
: many times : frequently
It’s an adverb so that means it modifies a verb or another adjective or some other part of speech besides a noun. I think it modifies the root of the sentence which I think is “are”
It’s interesting that mistakes are caused by other mistakes. I think if you find a mistake when doing something in CF then you’ll often find that you’re making mistake in a prerequisite. That makes it easier cuz you could probably ask if you’re making a prerequisite mistake and if something clicks then you don’t have to look further.
Are there examples of mistakes in CF being caused by mistakes in prerequisite knowledge? If you’re making a mistake in prerequisite knowledge, that could look like an algebra mistake. You make a mistake keeping track of variables and their values. Your mistake by being unable to keep track of x in a philosophical conversation is caused by your algebra knowledge mistake.
I wonder how
looks like. Maybe a small meteor hits your home and it spooks you and you make a typing mistake. Avoiding meteor spooks looks like an isolated issue.
The third sentence:
I think “when something goes wrong” is when an error or mistake happens. You’re trying to learn prerequisites, if you make a mistake on that then you’ll make a mistake CF. That’s if CF uses that prerequisite.
When the quote above says this:
“often” means it’s gonna happen frequently. So frequently, when something goes wrong that’s gonna be a reminder to go back to prerequisites
I like how it says “good reminder” cuz it’s less about investigating about where to look and more about reviewing some prerequisites. Like, you don’t have to look too far to see if mistake is not caused by errors in prerequisites.
When the quote above says, “review and improve some prerequisites”, I don’t think I know too well what “review” means. I think you can look over some prerequisites and check quickly which you forgot about or what doesn’t make sense. You can then go back to that and improve it. I think it’ll most likely fix a mistake in higher level stuff.
Imma write about the following paragraph in the next few replies:
First part:
I forget why notes are used in writing. What are they for? They’re like a “by the way” I think.
What are some concepts? I think one is about when you learn CF you can cycle between that and prerequisites.
When the sentence says this:
“other things” could be something like rocket science or physics. Those I bet use arithmetic which are prerequisites.
The concepts used in the article are generic I think.
For the second sentence, CF is the more advance knowledge that has prerequisites I think. CF has prerequisites and it’s advanced knowledge. I think Critical Rationalism and Objectivism count as examples too, but CF is what the article is going to talk about more.
Paragraph Im gonna write about:
First sentence:
I looked up online what a “model” is and that helped me understand what the point system would look like. So, to explain prerequisites, a simplified point system model will be used. That means there’s going to be a point system that’s going to be talked about. The system is a model cuz it’ll help explain an aspect about prerequisites.
Does zero on the scale mean you don’t know anything at all about the prerequisite? Does 100 mean you know everything? Does that mean it caps at 100?
I wonder if having an average score of 40 is a realistic amount that people usually have when they find CF.
So people can have a higher skill. That means you can go beyond 100 in the point system? That sounds like hard work tho
Total ignorance is you don’t even know at all about a prerequisite or even CF.
Scoring each prerequisite is like scoring math at 38 and language at 42. You’ll get an average score of 40 there.
“to be more precise” means that you could get a more accurate score by the ones place. If we go on by the points system model rn we might a few points away than if were to be more precise I think.
I don’t think we need to be more precise with the prerequisites’ score cuz I think that’s local optima. You’ll still be able to explain to the reader your main idea.
Imma write about the following paragraph:
First sentence:
How does that work? I bet it’ll be explained in the article.
What that maximum CF skill tells me is that if you were to get to 40 you would literally be inventing ideas and not taking advantage of current knowledge.
Ok, since I would have a 40 average score of CF prerequisites then the highest I would be able to go to is 40 on CF.
The points represent skill it seems. What does it mean that your CF skill is limited by your prerequisite skill?
Let’s say you have 40 skill on CF prerequisites. That means you could have <= 40 skill on CF.
The next sentence:
If your prerequisite skills limits how much CF you can get, that means that if you get a higher limit you’ll be able to learn more CF. 80 CF skill sounds much better than 40 CF skill.
Prerequisites are needed cuz learning those raises the cap. Can you learn other things besides the prerequisites to raise the limit?
“you don’t have to” means it’s not necessary to reach 100 skill on prerequisites. That’s cuz the way cycling between prerequisites work, you can raise your CF skill too.
Also, you “shouldn’t try to” learn prerequisites to 100 first cuz there’s downsides to that. You can get demotivated I think. You could instead be getting the benefits from cycling between topics.
Using the points system model makes it easy to see that you could be missing out on a lot of CF skill by just focusing on prerequisites.
Imma write about the following paragraph in the next few replies:
The first sentence:
The idea above is important I think cuz that’s how you utilize your prerequisite to get some CF skill. I think it’s more of a reason why.
If your 40 prerequisite skill lets you quickly and easily reach that high, then that means that you can figure some CF stuff out quickly. You can figure it out easily too.
How does the quote above work? I think it has to do with the fact that CF skill builds on prerequisite skill. If you have more prerequisite skill then you can start building CF on that.
So when you’re cycling between prerequisites and you raised your points quite a bit, there’s a point you go back to CF and raise your points there too. Maybe it’s not always by 10’s.
I’m thinking cuz we’re talking about a model, raising your CF skill like that doesn’t exactly happen in that way.
So in the quote we’re talking about when we cycle. We’re going back from CF to prerequisites and raising that to 45 skill.
When the quote says:
“can” means that cuz you’re cycling you choose to go back to CF to easily get up 5 points. I think you have the choice to go back to do that. You learning prerequisites lets you learn more CF easily.
“then” being there is cuz you’re cycling between topics. There’s gonna keep being a “then” cuz you’re cycling.
It looks like every time you get 5 points in prerequisites you can get 5 more points in CF. I don’t think maybe that’s exactly how it works, but the point is that you’re getting more knowledge the more you cycle.
Getting your perquisites to 50 and makes getting to 25 on CF easier. It would be harder if you were still at 40 skill for prerequisites.
I wonder what part of CF and what prerequisite you’re learning to cycle effectively.
Paragraph imma write about in the next few replies:
First sentence:
What does this sentence do? It lets the reader know whats gonna happen when they cycle. It’s something to keep in mind when cycling topics. You’re most likely not gonna run into a situation where your CF skill is at 60 and your prerequisite skill is at 40. I think ‘prerequisite’ in the last is the average score of your prerequisites.
What is a maximum limit? That’s the limit placed on CF skill by the prerequisites. I dont think it’s learning a skill at 100 score. Thats just the smartest people are rn. You can get higher than that. I don’t think 100 is the maximum limit?
I already read ahead, but the maximum limit could be the highest the prerequisite lets you get to. If youre at 40 for prerequisites then when youre pushing to 30 on CF skill, it’s going to get harder.
That means being at 0 points for CF is easier to improve than when youre at 30. This applies when your prerequisite is at something like 40 or 80. Improving CF skill from 0 at 80 prerequisite skill is much easier than improving it at 40 prerequisite skill.
Why does that happen? Does CF skill depend on prerequisite skill? It’s just harder to check your work or hard to confidently judge stuff? If youre going higher on CF anyways with 5 points behind, is it cuz youre using some other kind of knowledge to help you?
Imma write about the following paragraph in the next few replies:
First sentence:
How is it technically possible? Cuz your limit there is always going to be 40 for CF. That means you can do x amount of work to get there. It’s just going to be hard and problematic. You could do something thats too challenging and it may demotivate you. How well do you handle very challenging things?
It’s a bad idea to reach the limit on CF cuz you can always take advantage of using current knowledge to get you there. Maybe if youre making break throughs and inventing stuff then it’s ok to do something as hard. Maybe if youre prerequisite is at 100 and you need to make a final push from 90, it’ll be fine. I wonder how hard thatll be. Can you even reach 100 on CF?
The best way literally means it’s the top 1 way to learn CF rn. Thats in terms of how to approach prerequisites and CF.
It could still be hard but not just very hard if you increase your prerequisite skill first. I think the question now that follows is how much prerequisite do you learn before cycling to CF? How many points are good enough? Should you think about the point system model to keep track of your progress?
Yeah that makes sense. I dont know why I think about enjoying difficult things. Difficult things sound good to do but what if they get too hard? I think people wouldnt kind of know what’s easy or hard cuz a lot of things just seem hard to do. It’s like everything has to be hard to do to even get anywhere in life. Those that find things too hard may end up giving up and not enjoying that challenge as much. It creates a difference that I don’t think has to be there.
It’s better to learn to that 40th point an easy way cuz you don’t have to commit so much time or mental energy. I think doing prerequisites first requires mental energy and effort, but I think it’s not as strenuous as the hard way. You have less things there to check your work to make progress. Less things to judge easily as success or failure.
You do learn the same thing either way.
I think you save effort cuz it’s easier to learn prerequisites. It’s not as hard as advanced knowledge like CF. I think youre more successful at prerequisites so it’s easier to do. If you get that up then it’ll be easier for you to do CF. You wont be struggling so much like you would in the hard way. You could be failing there so much that you use a lot of effort
Having the CF skill “lag” seems to be what makes it efficient and reduces your error rate. I think lagging means that your CF skill is a significant amount of points away from your prerequisite skill. If your CF skill was really close to your prerequisite skill then I don’t think it’s lagging anymore. If you leave it like that and try to learn the skill, you’ll be using a lot of resources and make way more errors
Imma write about the following paragraph below:
The first sentence:
I’ve seen the concept of diminishing returns in video games. I think that’s when each return lessens and you dont get as much back. Maybe not each consecutive return is less than the last one, but over time it is.
I think learning prerequisites will maybe get slower as you approach 100. Your CF skills wont lag as much and so things will get harder. You wont get to learn so much like you did before. You could still cycle, but it wont yield such a big return like it did before.
