Yeah, if you use the points system model, your A skill could be at 30 and your B skill could be at 15. Your B skill can’t go past 30. The limit was placed by skill A. I think that’s cuz skill A is a prerequisite to learn skill B.
If you’re skill on B is limited to 15 and it’s at 10, you are not getting C to over 10. How close can skills get btw? Tens? Ones? If they’re by ones then it’s so close.
“And so on.” means that the same rules apply to every skill ahead. Your E skill could be so low that it’s close to zero. It’s like your CF skill being at zero before you found it. I wonder how many prerequisites are actually at zero if your average prerequisite skill is at 40. You could have a 0 prerequisite skill but that’s offset by another higher prerequisite skill.
Are some prerequisites independent of each other? If prerequisites come in layers are there separate structures for them? Your prerequisite skills are being limited by previous floors but not by other prerequisite skills?
You can just have the two layers of prerequisites and CF no? There’s way more point losses between those. We’re talking about by 10-40. You could have a difference of 40 skill between your prerequisite skill and CF.
What does using more layers in the model look like? Instead of just saying Math is part of prerequisites, you can layer it as arithmetic, algebra, and other stuff that comes on top. There would be less point losses between algebra and arithmetic cuz those are so similar to each other. You’re literally using arithmetic in algebra. I don’t think there would be so many point losses there compared to CF and prerequisites.
What about layering arithmetic? Like, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division? They’re so similar. I think I’ll read on to figure more of this out.

Can each number represent a skill? Like, skill A is 40, skill B is 35, skill C is 25, and so on? What is each layer? I think since prerequisite skills limit the skill after then it could look something like this:
Your arithmetic skill is 40 and that limits your algebra skill to 40. Your algebra skill could be at 35 cuz those skills are more alike. You could work on more arithmetic skill there cuz the gap between that and the max is so big. It’s bigger than the gap between arithmetic and algebra.
The gap is still the same; it’s still from 15 to 40. There’s just more layers between them. It’s more specific. I think you can use the model to help guide your learning when doing prerequisites. Like, you can ask, " how good is this prerequisite skill?" You can think about adding multiple layers to get a better idea about what to learn.
I think I know that CF has many different parts. Like, decision making math, resolving conflicting ideas, postmortems, debate trees, etc. I think those could be scored separately like you could have 15 skill in postmortems and have 0 skill in debate trees. Idk if one builds on the other. Idk what is layered.

Ok, you can learn one part of CF and if you have difficulties there you can learn other parts of CF. I wonder what “reach difficulties” means? Is that when you can’t easily learn CF based on prerequisites? I think the difficulty would spike cuz your CF skill in one part is getting close to your prerequisite.
I think you could run into a part of CF that’s harder to learn than other parts. Like, I know you can learn a CF part easily based on prerequisites, but what if you run into a hard concept? Will you need a higher prerequisite there? You could tell you need more prerequisite based on how hard something is to learn?

I like that it follows the model. What if a part of CF is at 0 and when you learn it and reach a difficulty, can you switch to other parts that are easier? If CF parts can be scored separately then I think there could be another part that’s at 0 that you can learn too. You’re following the principle from the model but doing it on a smaller scale I think. You don’t have to keep working on very difficult things everyday.
When you move back to prerequisites do you just do those for a period of time? Like, can you revisit CF after you do a short amount of perquisites? What if you only spend an hour on prerequisites? Can you switch to CF real quick and then go back to prerequisites? I think it’s hard for me to know when to cycle.
I think you can have different skill levels in debate trees and in text analysis. Those sound kind of similar cuz I think you use text analysis while making a debate tree. Like, you’re literally trying to understand a text with debate trees no? You use text analysis there.
Are some parts of CF that are independent? Can the difference in skills be really different? Like, something is at 0 and other CF skills are at 50? They gotta be related somehow. Does every CF skill build on itself? I remember we were talking about layering in prerequisites. Is all of CF layered?

Can you score life skills? I think you can. People got knowledge there too. You could learn it at 100 cuz that’s the best current knowledge there is. It seems tho that life skills are more inexplicit than intellectual prerequisites. I think that’s cuz there isn’t whole textbooks on life skills no? Like parts of math are broken down so much that it’s easier to learn. Idk.
Yeah, those topics could be scored separately. You could have English be at 30 and math at 40. I don’t know how realistic those scores are but I know you can average the topics out.
The top quote I think is how I started learning philosophy. I was much better at Math than English. When I got Beginning of Infinity to read I was more interested in reading. I was already reading at that point some but it increased a bunch. I started reading Popper books too. Also, when I learned the FI grammar article that for sure boosted my skills in English. I never had anything so comprehensive like that to learn. Everything about English was confusing to learn.
Does “might” mean you could be better at algebra than arithmetic? How similar are those two? It’s hard to think about all the topics in algebra to see that skill in arithmetic limits skill in algebra. I remember we’re talking about models so they’re approximate. Maybe you can figure things out in Algebra that you excel in it.
This sentence in the quote is zooming in to show that there’s differences between parts of skills. Part of math is arithmetic and algebra. Those can have different scores. I wonder how helpful all that is to know about? It can guide your learning maybe?
It makes sense that subtraction and exponentiation are part of arithmetic. There’s also addition, multiplication and division. Are there more parts to arithmetic? How about methods for doing those things? Like there may be better methods to doing subtraction and exponentiation. Is that knowledge? If yea is that part of the prerequisites?
How does it look like to be better at subtraction than exponentiation? I know there’s subtracting small numbers and big numbers. There’s the part of subtraction where you gotta learn what a difference is. There’s learning how to get the difference from a problem. You could know that stuff and not even know what to do with the little number floating at the top right of another number.
