Replying to "Postmortems Help Address Causes of Errors" [Dface]

Mistakes usually do involve your subconscious mind right? If they usually do then that’s where you want to target to make effective changes. I wonder what consciously involved mistakes look like… I think tho you for sure would want to focus on the subconscious mind.

What if you investigated your mistake already? Can you mess up the fixing stage by not doing enough changes to your subconscious mind? That makes me think about learning something new but not utilizing it enough. You end up forgetting about it. It may be knowledge for your conscious mind but stays as information for your subconscious. You didn’t practice enough to use the info.

It makes more sense that those old, faulty thought processes would cause many errors. If you don’t focus on practicing the new thought process then you’re still going make a lot of those errors. You’re still making many errors and failing at goals cuz the old thought process wasn’t replaced. That’s obviously if you did a good postmortem.

So would practice be one of the final steps in a postmortem? Or at least to fixing your mistakes? That sounds good cuz you’re literally fixing the mistake by practicing the new thought process. That’s how it would look like when you’re about to finish.
