Thiamin, Vitamins and Derrick Lonsdale

Continuing the discussion from Thiamin, Vitamins and Derrick Lonsdale:

Are you saying SENS’ approach “doesn’t make much sense” for the goal of solving aging specifically, because the vitamin deficiency stuff has relevance to aging (I haven’t read Lonsdale’s book)? Or are you saying it “doesn’t make much sense” for the goal of improving human health and well-being, cuz e.g. there is low-hanging fruit in the vitamin deficiency area we can and should address before worrying about SENS therapies? Or to put it differently, are you saying SENS’ therapies are a bad anti-aging strategy, or that they reflect mistaken priorities given the state of the overall field of health/nutrition/medicine? (My guess is the latter, but I honestly wasn’t sure).
