Getting a peaceful sleep environment is hard. Too much energy in my house at night, good and bad. The bad energy that happens makes me want to move out, but too expensive. Hmm. After I get this sleep stuff in order, I should try and get my finances in order. Not in debt or anything, but definitely not using it the best way.

For regulating my evening light, I’m just going to keep it simple and use my FL-41 glasses to block out some blue and green light. The red lens glasses I see everywhere would be hard to use because I still need to work around when I would want to start regulating some evening light and also drive back home from work. Plus they’re expensive (though I did look at the “good” options).

Getting morning light is something I’m working on in steps. I have an alexa outlet connected to a lamp that turns on in the morning. One issue I have is using an eye mask at night. It still blocks out light by morning and so I don’t get an effect where light wakes me up. More so I get it after waking up. I’m trying to black out my room, so I don’t need an eye mask. Then, eventually, I want to try one of those sunrise alarm clocks from Phillip.

But overall, sleep has been going fine. I’ve been having a more-or-less consistent bed time (the occasional very late shift until 10 messes that up). I’m figuring out a better wind-down routine, but I’m fine for now (I just brush teeth and shower, not really winding down ig). Eating early has been going well. I’ll now have dinner at work so I don’t have to eat late when I come back home. I’ve been using a tower fan to help me cool this summer and its been working. Hasn’t gotten terribly hot where I live so its been fine. Our AC works, but my mom turns it off quite often. Tower fan has been consistent.
