Social effects eventually become economic effects. Look at the birth rate.
I also don’t think that near term economic effects should drive our decision making, and with some things economic effects are secondary. Could we have a stronger economy if we beefed up the patriarchy and made women into baby factories? Quite possibly, esp 60 years later. However, would this be good? I think we both agree: no, it would actually be really bad.
If it’s contributing to increased societal division, seems pretty bad to me. Do you want the right to move further right?
Note: i’m doing the same thing that asmongold does after the view-as-animals thing, which is kinda just a behaviorist/pragmatist take if you strip away implications about ‘as animals’.
