In general something a lot of content creators, especially streamers, do is blame “out of context” clips when they are caught saying something bad. This isn’t just a right wing issue. Left wing figures like Hasan definitely do this too.
That could be a reasonable defense. If the context changes the content of the clip. But then you/they need to actually demonstrate that. So far when I get more context from Asmongold than I see in the clip, it just expands upon the clip and fleshes it out more. But it doesn’t change the content. The clips were not snipped out of context to change the meaning, they just took a representative sample.
I don’t think you will find any examples of clips where Asmon speaks highly of Fuentes and then if you get more context around the clip it turns out he’s like “That’s what I would say if I was a Nazi, but I’m not, so obviously I don’t agree with fucking Nick Fuentes. What a stupid idea.”
If that has happened, I would be happy to be corrected.
