Planned Career: I’d like to work on AGI in some way after uni, maybe at the frontier labs. Hoping to find the source code ;)

How did you find CF? When? Came across DD last semester, consumed everything of his I could find, tried to find people to discuss the ideas with, saw Elliot’s name in the BoI acknowledgements and found his blog. Just getting into CF.
What is your goal with CF, philosophy and/or your forum posts? to discuss AGI ideas instead of just consuming them. I’ve been reading and watching things on my own for a while and I think I’d understand them better if I had to defend and question them with other people.
Opinion of Elliot and CF? I’m early on CF so I’m still working it out. He seems to take ideas more seriously than most people writing online which is rare.
What philosophy stuff do you already know? Mostly Deutsch. Does Godel or Penrose qualify? I know Rand is important around here but I haven’t read her yet.
