Philosophy Chats with AIs

People could share AI philosophy chats since privacy is irrelevant to Claude and GPT. Sharing enables feedback and learning from each other’s chatting styles/techniques. It’s also a way of sharing ideas, similar to but different than sharing an essay. So I’m sharing a chat.

I suggest reading what I said but just skimming what Claude said. If you feel like you’re missing something, then read a bit more. Claude talks too much to read it all. I skimmed a lot, but there are no markers indicating what I read or skipped. Although you can’t copy my specific reading patterns, I think doing your own skimming will work reasonably well.

Convincing Claude about your arguments doesn’t mean much. It’s way too agreeable (even though my Claude instructions are “No flattery”). This is nothing like winning a debate with people who hold the views I critique.

Claude Opus 4.7 chat about AI doom, maximization and universality.
