AIs are getting good at coding and improving rapidly. They’re finding more and more software security holes and writing exploits. Software updates are your best defense.
Sorry if you’re still on Windows 10 or other hardware that isn’t getting software updates anymore. In that case, buying new hardware is advisable (or switch your Windows 10 PC to linux, assuming it’s not compatible with Windows 11).
One of the big issues is AI makes attention cheap. AIs can review code that wouldn’t have gotten much expert human attention. This is a big deal and will find issues even if the AI isn’t as good as the expert.
On a similar note, companies and governments have a lot of data about people (including their public internet presence and much more) but didn’t have the manpower to read through all of it. AIs can read through it.
