Relating CF to Video Games[Dface]

The quote below from the following article:

I’m gonna try to think of specific goals with unambiguous criteria for success. I wanna do this while playing gta 5 story mode:

Goal 1: “Stand in an open space and walk forward for 5 seconds.”

I think this goal has unambiguous criteria cuz I know how long to walk; I walk for the length of 5 seconds. I can count mississippi’s to count around 5 seconds. If I don’t walk for that long then I fail the criteria. I can’t tell tho if you have to be very precise with this goal like if you have to walk at exactly 5 seconds or at what margin of error. I think if I would have a friend watch me count and walk they wouldn’t have a problem with how I finished the goal.

I think the goal wording having only “and” to conjoin two actions, might show that I gotta do two contradictory things at once.

Goal 2:

“Walk across a street.”

I think that goal has unambiguous success criteria cuz if I don’t make it across, if I stay on the block im at or street, then I’ll fail the goal.

If I run across the street I’ll fail too. “Walk” is specific, it lets you know how to go across the street.

Goal3: “Run to the mission marker.”

I think this goal is unambiguous cuz if I don’t run at all then that counts as failure. If I run out of breathe because my stamina stats are low and I run when I can, then I’ll still succeed. I’m still running to the mission marker. I think the success criteria would be different if I were to say, “only run to the mission marker.”

Goal #4: Drive legally according to California’s driving rules and laws.

I think that goal is unambiguous cuz then you don’t want to cross stop lights or not change lanes without a turn signal. I don’t even think there’s turn signals in the game. I think this goal would result in failure. I think it would be easy to tell what’s success or failure for people who drive already.
