The internet is full of software-edited images and videos of people (and the occasional human-edited images too). It’s misleading and most people are being partially fooled a fair amount of the time.
Many people also routinely underestimate the use of makeup and other ways of putting effort into appearance, rather than it being natural/automatic.
PS I wasn’t sure whether to put this in Unbounded or Other, so don’t use this categorization as a role model.
