Why does learning require practice? #philosophy

I always wondered how the brain is a computer. I like the example about what’s displayed on computer screens is one thing and all hidden calculations is another. I still don’t get it much cuz I don’t remember if what’s on the screen is the subconscious or conscious. The ideas are hard to think about.

I do like the part about how if there’s a language barrier between you and someone, you show them how to do something. Having your subconscious do something is hard too. You show it through practice. It’s like you’re communicating with it, but there’s a barrier.
