Dface's Discussion of "Judging and Fixing Your Own Errors"

I didn’t think about them as non-binary goals before, but I see you can call them that.

What are some binary goals I know of? Well, what’s a non-binary goal? I think that’s a goal that you can’t judge if you’ll succeed or fail easily…Idk actually. I think I kind of don’t know what a binary goal is. If I apply the ‘non-binary’ part to those goals then id know.

I think non-binary goals off the rip are goals I usually have where I don’t complete often. Im somewhat successful at them but still fail. Non-binary goals are kind of ambiguous like they don’t tell you success criteria all that well.

I thought maybe beat the enderdragon in minecraft without enchantements is like a non-binary goal cuz it seems like im gonna fail but be successful after some time. I think that goal is good cuz im specific about what counts as success. Just not how. Idk

I think having a goal about writing on CF everyday may be non-binary and I have tht. I think it may be good cuz sometimes I don’t write too many words but i make lots of posts. Other times I dont post a lot but write lots of words. The non-binary goal is “good” cuz I get to adjust what I want to do just in case certain things happen.

Also I read little bit of Introduction to Critical Fallibilism about binary goals . I did tht before writing the last paragraph of this reply to help me get binary goals.

Edit: in the paragraph above this edit, where I say “the last paragraph of this reply” I mean the paragraph about writing a lot on CF
